Further Down the Road

Lyrics

They say the road is tough ahead
It's steep and hard to climb
And I won't be goin' home
Until further down the line

They say there's nothin' but rain
And that it's only a matter of time
'Til it turns to snow and ice
But that's further down the line

I never asked for easy
Or a smooth road to go
I just need to know you'll be there
Further down the road

They say there's good folks on the way
Just like the ones I left behind
But I don't expect to meet them
Until further down the line

I never asked for easy
Or a smooth road to go
I just need to know you'll be there
Further down the road

There's good things to be found
If I just look around
And let go of the past
And it might be slow
But I'll get there
Further down the road
