Clean That Filthy Church Up

Lyrics

Dust on the pews and a grime on the glass
Broken down windows in a state of mess
Sweeping through shadows gotta make it bright
Gonna clean that church up make it shine tonight

Cobwebs hanging high dirt on the floor
Sweat and elbow grease gonna do some more
Bring out the buckets and the holy soap
Scrubbin' until the sparkle gives us hope

Clean that filthy church up oh yeah
Let the light inside and show we care
Clean that filthy church up oh yeah
Raise our spirits high with a loving prayer

Stained glass murky but we'll make it glow
Mirror reflections let the blessings show
Old rusty hinges need some oil and touch
Gonna fix this place up it won't take much

We got our hands our faith our will
Every corner sparkles when we all fulfill
Together we rise together we fight
Clean that church to God's delight

Clean that filthy church up oh yeah
Let the light inside and show we care
Clean that filthy church up oh yeah
Raise our spirits high with a loving prayer

We got our hands our faith our will
Every corner sparkles when we all fulfill
Together we rise together we fight
Clean that church to God's delight

Clean that filthy church up oh yeah
Let the light inside and show we care
Clean that filthy church up oh yeah
Raise our spirits high with a loving prayer
